Peculiar Projections was born out loneliness and distancing from the pandemic. I was seeking a way I could safely hangout with my friends, drink a beer, and watch a movie. I thought a weekly screening of my favorite movies projected on a sheet in my backyard was a little silly but decided to give it a go.

Poster for our first Halloween event.

I served as co-founder and lead designer. I had a team with two others who mostly helped me with logistic and construction. Since I draw inspiration from physical media and cult movies, this was a great opportunity for me to show off some of my design skills while having a rocking time with my friends.

Since this project required some serious time and money, selling merch to cover costs was not only essential, but sounded like a blast. T-shirts and posters were obvious but I was looking to have a little bit more fun. I was thinking about koozies, lighters/matches, buttons, even beach balls!

Shirts and posters were easy, as i could print them myself, and I quickly made buttons and stickers as well. Koozies and lighters needed to be manufactured and unfortunitly the lighters did not work out but the koozies came out great!
